Greetings, I am Baek Seung-bo, Administrator of Public Procurement Service. With a public procurement market worth about 200 trillion won (USD 153 billion),
570,000 suppliers and 70,000 end-user institutions,
PPS is committed to driving procurement reforms that citizens can truly
experience

The Public Procurement Service (PPS), responsible for procuring goods, services, and public facilities required by public institutions, has served as a solid foundation for people’s livelihoods and the national economy, connecting suppliers with end-user institutions. Over the past 76 years, PPS has acted as a driver of economic growth, a problem solver in times of national crisis, and a reliable partner in opening a new chapter during periods of industrial transition.

Building on its achievements and accumulated experience, PPS will push forward with substantive procurement reform that citizens can truly feel. We will strategically leverage public procurement as a stepping stone for an innovative economy and balanced growth, serve as a reliable partner for SMEs, venture businesses, and startups, and do our utmost to safeguard public safety and trust.

PPS will spearhead the growth of new industries through public procurement.
Public procurement will serve as a catalyst for innovation in future growth sectors such as AI, robotics, and climate technology, and lay the groundwork for domestic companies to expand their market presence.

PPS will establish a procurement system that adheres to the fundamentals, including quality and price.
We will enhance transparency in the process of determining procurement prices and strengthen verification, while also implementing policies to ensure appropriate pricing that supports companies’ stable operation. We will also reinforce quality control to ensure the reliable supply of high-quality products.

PPS will foster a transparent and fair procurement market that promotes a business-friendly ecosystem.
We will decisively reform unreasonable regulations and unfair practices, and create a transparent and fair procurement environment that ensures a level playing field where businesses can compete freely.

PPS will always listen to the valuable opinions of our clients, and strive to deliver tangible benefits to both the public and businesses.
We kindly ask for your continued interest and support.

Thank you.
